Softball Score Dispute: Understanding Umpire Authority and Record Keeping

the umpires have the score 4-4, my teams book has it 5-4 our lead, the other team has no book! we protest the game umpire signs the book..what is the rule for this situation??

if you have the umpires signature then it is a done deal. i would go to the board and explain the situation first and make sure that they understand the situation. and as for the other team well maybe that will teach them a lesson. YOU SHOULD ALWAYS HAVE SOMEONE TO KEEP THE BOOKS!!!!!
