Answer you should go to your local softball group. like where young kids play and ask the board members. you have to go to classes for about a month and where i went we only met once a week for about an hour. then you take a test and if you pass then you get to umpire. it seems like it is pretty simple but there are actually alot of little details that you have to learn and you have to learn all the rules and regulations. but it is really fun!
