batting first our last

Thank you for you response.  Although I thought the same thing, I needed to hear it from someone more with knowledge on this subject.  My last question is,when choosing to bat or take the field first, what is the correct choice on this subject and what are the reasons.  This question is assuming we are talking about players at the High School level.

Hi Michael,

there is no right choice although 95% of the time winner takes home so they can either bat last and know how many runs they need or don't have to bat at all.

Some teams with powerful offenses that want to attack take visitors.
