Pitcher's Helmets with Face Guards: Safety & Options

Is there a difference between regular batting helmets and a pitchers helmet? I have looked on line and all I find are the batters helmets and catchers helmets. I would like to purchase a pitchers helmet-face guard for my coach pitched team. My daughter took a hit to the face last year from the coach during batting practice. Thanks for any help.

I'm not an expert on this but I also did some searches and I found what you did.

As of right now I can't find anyone who makes and markets defensive helmets-face guards.  It's probably only a matter of time before someone does but that doesn't help now.

As a dad I would not allow my daughter to pitch, play f3 or f5 w/out a helmet/face guard combo and also a product called heart-guard.  Just do a search on softball heart guard.

I guess you and your daughter have to look at batter's helmets with face guards and/or catcher's helmets.

I know most lacrosse helmets are very light but your daughter couldn't use it to bat, still might want to check that out.
