MLB Rules: Live Ball & Out-of-Play Pitches - Base Awarded?

there are runners on base there is not curtosiey step .the pitch is throwen high and it goes over the net and out of play. i say you cannot leave the base when its in the air so it must be a live ball do the runners on base get a base on a pitch throwen out of play?

Hi Kirby,

You don't tell me but I assume this is a sp game w/out stealing.  If that is correct, the pitched ball is not live until it is hit, and no bases are awarded on a pitch that goes out of play.

If this is a sp game w/ stealing, the pitched ball is live and runners are awarded 1 base.
