Batting Order Substitutions: Understanding Player Re-entry

Question
If I sub player A for B and then want to sub later player B for player C, where will player B go in the batting order?  This has been a question we have wrestled with for 2 seasons--thank you

Answer
Good morning Dee,

I can see why you have a problem because if I read your question correctly you can't do it.

"any player may be substituted or replaced and re-entered once provided they occupy the same batting position whenever in the lineup"

So B is also Batter 1, A comes in for B and now is B1.  B cannot sub for C who is B2.  B can only sub back in at B1.  Likewise if X comes in for A, A can only re-enter at B1 not anywhere else.

OK?
