Replaying Called Game

Question
Our league had game 1 of a best 2 out of 3 series Championship round called after 2 1/2 innings last Thursday.  It is scheduled to be finished tonight, however what is the ruling for players who were in the line up, but can't make tonight's make up?  Also what the ruling on players who weren't in the line up or at the game when it was canceled?

Thanks,
Tom

Answer
Hi Tom,

Anyone on the team's roster may play, they need NOT have been at the "1st" game.  IE B4 and B8 can't be there, any roster player that is eligible can legally sub for them.

If this is slowpitch, a team can play "shorthanded" by taking an out in that batting position.  IE if they started the "1st" game with 10 they can play w/9, if 11 they can play w/10.  This is only if they have no available legal subs.  Fastpitch can play shorted also, this is just an example.

You must maintain the same batting order just as if the game continued w/out interruption.  You can't move B2 to B4 position (who's not there) and insert a sub at B2.  If B2 continues to play in the game they must bat at B2 and the sub is inserted at B4.
