Baseball Force Plays: Does a Tag Out Prevent a Run?

Bases are loaded. two out. Batter grounds to the third baseman who tags the runner from second. The runner from third crosses the plate. Does the run score? Or is the sequence important?

Hi Debbie,

In this particular scenerio the run would never score no matter the sequence.  Even though the runner is tagged this is a force play and the 3rd out of the 1/2 inning.  The runner going from 2nd-3rd is forced by r3 who in turn is forced by the b-r.  They must make the base safely to remove the force.
