Question
#1.Tagging a runner: Umpire said I must tag her below the waist while running to third base, I don't think that is rule.

#2. Tied game last inning, can the umpire on his own intentionally walk 2 players in a row without
the opposing teams consent?

Answer
Hi Ruthie,

I have to admit these are the 2 most bizarre questions I have ever had.  Not that the questions themselves are bizarre but the situations certainly are.

#1  I don't think (I know!) this is a rule either, where did the umpire get this?  Tag below the waist to be out?

#2 If you're talking about w/out the defense wanting to do this, and he did it on his own, because why? I'm stumped! and confused?

and between the 2 situations......wondering, just wondering how this stuff happens.
