Got cut from the high school team!! WHY?

So I went to all the summer volleyball stuff and I play travel on off seasons. But this year I did not make the team. the coach said it was bc there are four others of my position (and not blowing my own horn I know I'm better than at least one of them). but he said I have a lot of potential but he didnt' want to keep me and give me no playing time. Which I don't care about. Now I'm doing the team management to stay on the team and practice sometimes. Do you think this will help my chances for next year? And do you have any idea why I wasn't kept? What other advice do you have to make me better. I mostly need hitting advice. Thanks for taking the time to answer :)

d) What were the two biggest tournaments that your travel team played in?
