Freshman Team Rotation Question.....Were LOST

My daughter is new to the game but did make the Freshman A team. (Mostly due to her athletics)  She did play in JR High but never in club.  She is having trouble with getting the rotation down and frankly I haven抰 been able to be much help. (never playing myself)  She plays outside and the coach sent home a sheet with the 3 rotations on them broken out into the Serve 1 and Return 1, etc? However when I watched her first game I noticed that some of the girls seemed to switch positions after the return.  Do you have any advice or reference materials on how I can learn the concept of the rotation so I might better help her?

OK I'm home now and have re-read your question.  I can't be sure what is "Serve 1" or "Return 1" without seeing the pictures.  

Yes, most players do switch after returning a serve b/c the coach wants them to play at positions he/she feels they can best help the team.  

You're also free to send me a video of the team playing.  I'll then look at it, and tell you what I think.
