Finding the Perfect Volleyball Setter: Traits & Goals
Question
What traits do you look for in a setter? What goals do you have for your setter?
Answer
Deb,
The physical traits we look for are height, (being left handed is great), speed, good hands and the ability to jump. The non physical traits are good leadership skills, the ability to think on her feet, to always be in the right position and to be able to take criticism.
We would like our setter to average 12 assists per game, a 1/2 a block and 3 digs.
Good luck in your setter search.
