Is a One-Handed Set Legal in Adult Pickleball?

Question
Hi Steve,
Please help clarify; I play in an intermediate level adult league; we do our own self officiating.  Last week I was called for an illegal "one hand set" by a player on the other team who considers himself an expert on the rules.  The play happened as follows:  I was playing front-center, I reacted to a poorly played first hit by striking the ball with one hand similar to an overhead serve(it was not a carry).  It ended up as a perfect set to the outside attacker who finished off with a nice spike.  I have looked through the entire '06-'07 USA Volleyball Rules and cannot find anything that says this wasn't a legal play.  Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Rich

Answer
Rich,

There is a great picture of a one handed set in the May issue of Volleyball Magazine..........page 4.  No one can argue with you now.

Steve
