Becoming a Volleyball Referee: Path to NCAA Certification

What steps would you recommend for someone wanting to become a Volleyball ref with the ultimate goal of becoming an NCAA Ref?

What certifications do you need to be a Highschool or Club level ref?

Dave,

First study the rule book.  In NYC there is a referee class, I'm sure there is one somewhere in PA.  Then make sure you get involved in refereeing Club/AAU.  You will get a name for yourself and make good connections.  Last find out who is the assignor for the near by colleges and see if they are hiring lines people.....if they are not you may think about volunteering.  Good luck.  I coach at Fordham University, if you become a ref because of this advice you owe me a call.
