Identifying Vintage Fishing Reel: Help Needed!

I found an old reel of my fathers and would like to know more about it. all has one it is Cascade on right side above handle and Jeweled below the right handle. no writing on left but there are too steel nubs and they set the drag. on the bottom of the holder to rod is the number 60. it is an old open faced type that you had to practice using your thumb to regulate distance of cast. the line that is on it feels like cloth not the new materials. can not find anything searching on line except yours.

i would help to have a photo, sounds like your reel may be a Portage Cascade reel by Pflueger. Portage was their lower cost brand along with Four Brothers. If so, its an early bait casting reel, line is most likely braided silk.
