Real Heddon?

Question

Heddon
Hello;
I came across a Heddon Pal Pro Weight #6225 -5 1/2" rod at a garage sale:  It's in kind of rough shape, missing ferrules and some wrapping starting to come apart, all of which I can fix easily enough.  The rod seems to be fiberglass and still has pretty decent action - Is this a real Heddon, albeit a spinning rod, and would it be worth fixing up?

Thanks!

Yes, Heddon made a line of Pal fiberglass rods for a number of years. I beleive your rod is a fly rod?

I recommend posting a question about restoring your rod here:

If it is a fly rod, 5 1/2 ft is a short length, which is usually scarcer then the 7 to 8 ft rods. I would think its worth restoring, but again recommend posting on the site above dedicated to fiberglass rods.

I would estimate the value to be $40-$60 in excellent condition. Yours would be $10-20.

regards
