Can you tell me anything about a Thomas & Thomas Deerfield Special XL (8 1/2", 2 1/8 oz) rod?

Hello Bruce,

I really don't know too much about Thomas and Thomas rods.  I know they are very high quality and are fairly expensive.  I wish I could tell you more about the company and manufacture date.  

The one thing I can tell you is that you have a very nice rod.
