I have a reel with pics. Its looks like a 1889 Julius Vom Hofe Fishing Reel, but I am uncertain. Any help finding out what it is is helpful. Thanks

Does it have any writing on it ?
Have you opened it ? What if any drag system does it have ?

p 117-122 gives allot of information on Julius Vom Hofe and family reel makers and you probably could pin it down to this or other makers with this book.
