Sebago Special Fly Rods: History, Value & Identification

Question
Mark I read a question asked to you about a gentlemen owning a Sebago special flyrod. My grandfather passed his on to me, they were hand made in Sebago Maine(Sebago lake)Mine is #212 @ the time it sold for $25.00 made in the early 50's,I don't know the name the name of the maker but it is beautiful flyrod.

Answer
Hi John,

Yes, I remember the question and I had never heard of that rod and couldn't find anything on it.

The two guys that you should ask on this site are Rich McGaughey and Joe Douglas.  You can e-mail pictures of the rod to Rich at macsrods@yahoo.com and he will probably have a good idea.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Thanks and good fishing.

Marc
