Garcia Conolon Dry Fly Rod 2637B Line Weight & Specs

hello i have a old blue garcia conolon dry fly rod 2637 B..it is 8 feet long..i was wondering if you would know the weight of this rod..or the weight of the line that it takes?...thank you.

Hi Drew,

Not specifically.  However, most of the early hollow glass rods seem to work pretty well with a 7wt line.  Try a 7wt DT or a 7wt WF line on the rod.

If you have access to more than one fly line, or have a friend with other line sizes, you may want to try an 8wt line and a 6wt line to rule them out but I suspect the 7wt will work fairly well on this rod.
