charging trolling motor batteries

When charging deep cycle batteries, should the caps stay on the battery or should they be removed?

Hi Troy,

No, if they are batteries that have been bought in the past 10 years they don't need to be vented while charging.  

I am not a battery expert, but I haven't taken the caps off batteries while charging since the late 70's.
