Identifying Vintage Fly Fishing Rod & Reel - Sears & Roebuck

I have a octagon metal fly pole with a sears and roebuck real,,pat no 2-175-756  can you tell me anything about it? Thank you

metal flyrod - in general these rods are in the $5-20 range depending on condition. An exception would be if this is marked Winchester..they do a little bit better.

Rod collectors focus on custom made American split bamboo rods.

Sears reel - a number of manufacturers made fishing reels for Sears. They are typically low end in construction and quality, therefore dont generate much collector interest.
