value of herters bamboo fly rod

hi mr mcgaughey hope u can estimate a value on this rod from my description its a fly rod made of split bamboo cain 6 flat sides in cross section she a 2 pice rod brass male an female joiners in the middle,weight of rod is seven an quarter onces,reel goes on at back end of cork handle diameter of rod above cork handle is 10mm ,length of rod sections heavy end 1m 425mm front section 1m 380mm.the only bit of writing on the rod is on a cap on the backend where  the reel is fixed it says HERTERS in plain block capitails this cap and other twisty bit which hold the reel in place appear to be made of a silver alloy maybe nickel

I am a US trout bamboo fly rod man myself so I can抰 help you a lot.
Here抯 a book that you might find in the library that may help 揊ishing Tackle?by  Graham Turner. It has English and UK rods in it .
Herter's rod is probably UK. I believe Sharpes of Aberdeen or Partridge of Redditch  made the rod. Herters was also a sporting goods store in the US selling Phillipson and St Croix rods until the 1970s.
Does your rod have a dark glue line?
My usual source is Antique & Collectable Fishing Rods: Identification & Value Guide Homel, Dan. 1997. It doesn't have Herters.
