Identifying Vintage Japanese Bamboo Fly & Baitcasting Rod Kit
Question
looking for info on a combination fly/baitcasting bamboo rod.
it has a reversible handle and originally had seven pieces
markings has a red banner over blue fish. cannot read writing
Answer
Hi Jim,
Tell me a bit more about the rod. On the surface it sounds like one of the post WW-II rod kits made in occupied Japan.
Did it come in a box or bag with any identification? Any other items included?
What are the configurations of the casting and the fly rods that can be assembled?
If you are able to take a photo or two and send them to joe@blackdogtackle.com, I'll review them for you.
Thanks, Joe
