trolling with mono

I want to start trolling for stripers but I dont want to use lead line what else can I do??

Hi Larry,

I don't know how deep you have to go, but there are a couple options.  

Adding lead weights ahead of the lure is one option.

Diving planers like Dipsey Divers are another option, but they are almost as cumbersome as wire line or lead core.

Without a doubt the best solution is downriggers.
