crappie fishing-mountain Lake North-Upstate SC

Question
I Have a Lake House in Northern Greenville County, Upstate S. C.  A Portion extends over the water which is 8-10 ft deep. I have been feeding the Crappies (I think) white loaf bread and this attracts 20 plus nice size fish all of one kind- Crappies, I believe.  This is a mountain stream feed private 3 basin 12 mi. shore line built in 1925.  I need to know what can I feed them other than loaf bread that will attract a crowd for my grand children to feed? Dumping corn in to the water or some other un hooked attractive bait? We also have blue gill- Brim, catfish, fresh water trout, some catfish and Carp.  I've just retired and appreciate your advice.

Thanks

Keith

Before you do anything check with your local fishing regulations and see if it is legal to feed the fish. If it is I'd try poking some holes in a can of dog food and tie it to a rock then toss it in. The corn and bread also work as you have found out.
