mister twister tubo new item

Question
what size hooks should use with this it says i could use a jig head but what size and it also says i could use it weightless again what size hook thanks

Answer
Hi Pete,

Unfortunately, living in Wisconsin I haven't had a chance to try them on the water yet.  But, I have been playing with them anticipating spring.  I am really excited about this bait.  It sounds like you may have already read my enthusiasm on the Mister Twister Website.

As you know, the Tubo is a big tube bait.  You are going to need a jig with a big hook.  I'd say a minimum of a 4/0, but a 5/0 would be even better.

For weightless rigging, the same holds true.  I'd say a 5/0 offset wide-gap worm hook would be the best choice for this bait.  I'd say even bigger, but they are hard to find.  I know Owner makes a big worm hook in a 7/0 (Owner #5110-171) that looks like it will match up well.  I've use them for Pike and Musky and they are one strong hook!

Good luck and hang on tight.  This is going to be a big-fish bait!
