Identifying a Vintage Horrocks-Ibbotson 6ft Boat Rod - History & Value

My father years ago gave me a 6 foot horrock boat rod. The Sarasota looked to be hand written and in white. Can you please tell me a little about this rod and perhaps the age . The rod was given to him by his father .

Ray,
Sorry I don't know allot about boat rods, I am a fly rod man. I have made some wading staffs from big thick bamboo rods that could have been boat rods.
Horrocks-Ibbotson rods are looked down upon by the collecting community  and often they are justified. They were mass produced , rather heavy and very slow.  They don't bring good prices even though some of them are good rods.
