Spinning vs. Baitcasting Reels: What's the Difference?

wahts the differenc between spinning and baitcasting. I've always fished with spin.  freshwater only. thank you vito

Hi Vito,
As you know, spinning is an open face reel with a bail.  Spincasting is a closed face spinning reel with a push button in the back.  This is an excellent reel for people starting to fish, but I've also found it a good one for trout and catfish.  Some pros on the bass circuit have also used them for flipping/pitching.
