fishing the florida keys

Hi, I've been fishing the keys for over 40 years in someone elses boat.[ charters/rentals ] but never owned one of my own.....I plan on moving to marathon very soon and would like to know what size/type of boat I could buy for all around fishing....small and economical is most important...

I need to know what kind of fishing you want to do. Are we talking flats fishing, or do you want to go to deep water to fish wrecks, or troll for Marlin and Sailfish?
There is a fairly economical Flats boat that is used in a LOT of places. It is a center console. Has rod holders and can be fished in both fresh and saltwater, but I would not take it out of site of land.
