How to catch catfish on throwlines and how can you make a throwline or troutline.

Well i have never used troutlines but i know a little about how they work.

A troutline is a line with many hooks attached to it.  You need to get some line (preferably rip-cord..you can get it at walmart).  You can also buy troutline clips at walmart that yuo can attach to a main line and all you have to do is tie on the hooks.  But if you want to make one you need to buy some troutline (like rip-cord) and make it however long you want...depending on how many hooks you want to put on it.  Then every 2 foot or so tie a short length of cord to the main line (agian, you can get these 'clips' at walmart...it will save you alot of time).  Then youll need to buy some troutline hooks, these have really big eyes just for this purpose.  Then tie hooks on all of the 'clips' and bait each one with bait....use whatever you like (chicken livers, worms, etc.). Then take it to a spot where you think  theyll be some catfish and throw it out.  If it floats up (which it probably wont) just tie a rock or something to the other end.  Then tie the other end around a tree or big tree limb and come back in a few days to see if youve caught anything.
