Daiwa Penn 1350 Fly Reel: Information & History

Can you tell me anything about the Daiwa Penn 1350 Fly Reel? I've found loads of info online about the 1350X spinning reel, but NOTHING about the 1350 Fly. I'm trying to help my boyfriend catalog all of his antique gear, and this is a reel that he inherited brand new about 25-30 years ago.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Cassidy,

Daiwa and Penn are two different companies so I am thinking that it is Daiwa.  That is the way they number their reels.  But the 1350's were spinning reels as you have found.  I'm puzzled and intrigued???  Can you send a picture?  Are you sure it is a fly reel?  Could it be a salmon mooching reel?
