Identifying a Small Fishing Reel (Marked '40')

I purchased a tiny reel the other day, it's diameter is a little over 1 3/4 " I did not find any markings or name on the reel except the number 40 on the bottom. Just wondering if you knew  anything about it or where I might find some info on this reel. Anything you could tell me would be great. Thanks Eliza

the 40 is the amount of line it will hold, 40 yards. Look carefully at the side plates, make sure its not faintly marked in the black (hard rubber).

If you can send me photos of both side of the reel, it may be Montague Trout reel.
