J.C. Higgins Saltwater Baitcasting Reel

I have this reel, in taking it a part I notice that the part numbers look like Penn reel part numbers not to mention the fact that it looks like a Penn reel with a red torpedo type greaseable handle. could you tell me what year this reel was manufactured and  what Penn reel it imitates so I can order some parts like drag washers and free spool lever that its missing? Thank you

JC Higgins is Sears line of fishing tackle. Sears had other companies make fishing tackle under the JC Higgins name.

I am not aware of documentation showing JC Higgins to the original manufacturer model. Therefore, I recommend working with the Old Fishing Reels Collectors Association (ORCA).
