Answer
Christina ,
You have an older US bamboo rod. Horton became Bristol. I am assuming your rod has flat sides, made of bamboo or wood and is not metal.

History :
http://www.oldfishingstuff.com/horton_mfg_co.htm

Bristol rods are mentioned in Antique & Collectable Fishing Rods: Identification & Value Guide Homel, Dan. 1997 (2nd edition 2000).
Nothing with 1907 , might check carefully for a model name or number on the rod itself. i.e. Model f-number. Homel says the various model fs go from 50 in poor condition to 310 in excellent but please don't quote that as I have not identified the rod.

If you get pictures you might send them to my rod history friend the Gnome aka Jeff Hatton (gnomishrodworks@tds.net) author of Rod Crafting A Full-Color Pictorial & Written History from 1843-1960
Jeffrey L. Hatton Softbound: 305 pp. Frank Amato Publications, $45
ISBN 1-57188-356-8, tell him Mac from Denver sent you.

Good Luck,
Mac
