Walton E Powell Bamboo Fly Rod

I have a Powell rod that I bought about 18 years ago. Description: Marked: "Walton E Powell - maker" Numbers "79-77" appear on the rod sections.  Approx. 5-weight, 8' #not marked with weight or length#. Two piece with extra tip, aluminum butt, rose #?# wood, orig. plain aluminum carrying tube. Green cloth sleeve.  
Condition: appears new, unused.
I can't remember what I paid for it seemed expensive), but am trying to determine its value as I have accidentally fractured one of the tips and am trying to determine if its worth repairing.
