Cant find an answer to this

Question
Hello. You did say no rules questions, however I have spent days looking
for an answer without success. PLEASE put me out of my misery!  The
question is simply this:
In 4BBB Matchplay, if one player on a team clearly concedes a putt in full
hearing of all four players, can his partner void the concession before the
opposition player/s have had a chance to lift the ball.

Answer
Hello Michael;

My main reason for not wanting to answer Rules questions is purely an educational one.

It is actually done in an effort to assist the USGA and R&A gain traffic to their websites.  And also educate you a little more in depth.  Did you know that you can buy a rules book for your phone now?

You can find your answer here.   Http://www.usga.org  It will take a little effort for you to find your answer.  but You may always send a query to the rules experts there.

One thing I would do is to Clarify 4BBB   Is that a 4 Ball Better Ball, or 4 Ball Best Ball.  I know it sounds funny, but different terminology does mean different things.

If you posed the question to me during a competition, I would venture to say the putt stands as being conceded.  Though I would seek a concurring opine with this.  This issue of whether or not it should have been conceded rests between the team mates who conceded the putt.

Always remember the rule of EQUITY in golf.  Rules are always made and decided from an equitable position keeping them fair to all concerned.

I would venture that either Rule 2-5 or 30-3 would be a good beginning point.  Again the USGA, R&A, or any of the PGA Tour's, Australian Tour's or even your local Amateur Association could answer you.

Good Luck, Happy Golfing and Have a Great Day.
As always...Hit em long, straight, and as few times as possible.
