Golf Rules: Putting After the First Putt - Etiquette and Procedure

Can a player elect to carry on putting after his first put to put out even if he takes another two puts .Does he have to ask permission from his fellow players

Golf is a game of manner and courtesy.

I think in your case you want to ask for permission otherwise it may create very uncomfortable situation.  Please stick to rule or kindly ask for permission.
