Golf club fitting

Question
No one seems to mention arm length when getting fitted for clubs.  I am 5'3" and have an arm span of 5'7" (yes extra long arms) so do I shorten my clubs or flatten the lie?  I have Nike Red Full Cavity Backs for women and everything is going left. Should I focus on finding the correct ball position for my arm length or get my clubs fixed?  Thanks!

Answer
Maryann,

I would suggest hitting all of your irons off a lie board. This will determine if your clubs need to be bent to a flatter position and by how much. Go to an experienced club fitter for this.

If you shorten your clubs you will lose distance.

This should help you direction.
