Understanding Golf Cuts: What Does 'Make' or 'Miss' Mean?

When a golf player MISSES a cut what exactly does that mean? When a player MAKES a cut what exactly does that mean? Thank you very much. Al Brown

In my last response, if a player shot -3 or worse he would miss the cut and not be playing in the weekend.
