my golf future

Question
Hi,
I am currently playing on the Berea College golf team. I have only been serious about golf for alittle over a year, but i have no one to help. (money is the problem) the coach doesnt really know enough to progress my game. I saw on another page that you have some training sheets and i was wondering if i could get some of those and if you had any advice. email:

Also, I am about 12 handicap and i am looking to get onto a bigger college team by next year so i need some serious changes. I feel like i just need the structure to my practice sessions.

any suggestions...

Answer
Hi Eli:

Send me your personal email address Eli and I will send over.  It did not come through in your last email.  You need PGA instruction, a lot of time to practice and play, and a commitment like no other.  If you are a 12 handicap now, it will take you a couple of years of SERIOUS work to get down to be able to compete at a university level.  Then you'll need a few years of competition to learn how to score.  Then you might be ready to compete in national events.  I would give you a 5-10 year plan to be really competitive.  You need some great instruction Eli, you cannot do it alone.  I can offer advice to you but you can't believe how hard you have to work at it to improve to the level you are speaking of.  If you are already in college and just starting, it will take longer than that to improve enough to draw interest.  Let me know how you are doing.
