Knee Replacement and Golf: Impact & Recovery Insights

Question
Does a full knee replacement curtail my golf? Have any on the Senior tour had that? Nothing else helps my arthritis, including acupuncture.
Thanks,
Bob

Answer
Hi there and thank you for asking.  If you are a righty, a left knee replacement may hurt a bit since that is where all the torque happens.  You can help yourself a bit by flaring the left foot out more to alleviate the strain, or try to get one of those new state of the art golf shoes that give a little upon pressure.  The right knee should not really affect your golf swing at all.
