Grip Solvent: Removal & Application - What You Need to Know

Hello. My question is. What is grip solvent, is it specific
for golf, or, can i buy it in any hardware store.

Hi Joae,

One uses grip solvent to remove a grip from the shaft. It breaks down the adhesive grip (two sided tape) between the grip and the shaft.

All you need to use is paint thinner. The challenging part is getting it between the shaft and the grip. You can inject it with a syringe. Just make sure the syringe has a very strong needle because the grip is quite stiff and thick.
