Choosing the Right Tee Box: A Handicap & Course Guide

what is the best way to determine as to what Tee you play from based on Handicap and/or slope of the course.?

Thanks for asking this question. Most of golfers want to set a higher standard before starting out playing.

My rule of thumb would be this:

Slope of over 130 is tough.  Course over 6600 yard is considered long as long as we are talking about amateurs.

So, if your hand is between 10 - 15, you can go for with it, like black/gold tee.

If your hand is 16-20, then you can try with lower, like blue tee.

If your hand is around 25 or higher, I recommend white tee.

Again, this is just rough recommendation, but can change depend on individual basis.
