Getting fitted

Question
Hello Michael.
I got a new set of callaways irons for christmas, and I have never been fitted. I plan on getting fitted before the season starts. What happens if the clubs are to short or too long for me? Would I not be able to use them?

Answer
Eric,

You are very wise to get fitted for the clubs you should be using. Go through the fitting and see what the club fitter recommends. If the length recommendation is different than what you have and the clubs are still brand new, take them back and see if you can exchange them for what you need. You may want to call now and see if this is possible. If not, you can have the clubs shortened or lengthened to your specifications. This however will cost you some money.

The other variables that you'll be fitted for is lie angle, shaft type and flex and grip size.

if you haven't hit the clubs to this point, call where they were purchased and see if they will accommodate you.

Thank you,

Michael Hoffman
