turf for putting green

Question
I am trying to create a putting green with artificial turf in an used room in my basement.  Can you give me any advice as to what kind of turf to put in, and how to obtain it without spending a small fortune?  My son (17 years old) is an avid golfer who hopes to go pro eventually; this is for him to practice on at home.  Thank you!
