Golf Rules: Is a Slight Club Rock Penalty-Free?
Question
When addressing the ball and your club accidentally rocks but ends back up in the exact same spot, is that a stroke penalty? I understand if the ball moves and does not rest in the same spot that it is a stroke penalty. I'm talking about rocking a little forward but rocking back into the same spot as originally was in
Answer
Hey David: I will assume you mean the ball moves forward a little bit then comes right back into the exact position it was. No penalty. Ball can ocillate...no penalty. Ball moves from it's original position....penalty.
