severe slice

Question
I have a bad slice and i have tried numerous things, from different stances to grips.  I drive the ball about 220yards but my slice is about another 50 or 60 yards to the right.... Please help me

Answer
Michael:  The first step in getting rid of your slice is to copy the profile and setup of those who don't fight that problem; namely, the touring professionals.  Go to http://golfnutts.com/profile.html and adopt these positions.  Also, visit the page on balance to understand how important it is to be on the balls of the feet and balanced at the beginning of the swing.

From your description of your ball flight, I'm guessing you're standing too upright.  In other words, you need to bend more from the hips at address.  You don't mention your problem with other clubs.  If you hit your irons with less slice, try the same amount of bend with the driver; changing only the ball's position.

Once you've given this a chance, I'd be interested in hearing of your progress.

Good luck!!
