If one's ball comes to rest with the 150 yard marker pole between the ball and the green can one move the ball without penalty or does the post form part of the course?

Dear John, thanks for the question.  Interestingly enough, if the marker is a tree etc, then it remains in play with no relief, but if the marker is a moveable object, such as a stake, then you can move the stake...but never the ball.  Good luck, thanks again for asking and remember...
