QUESTION: I'm a high ball hitter.  What I'm asking is for instance, 10mph into me, 1 club or 2 clubs more? Same thing with me, 10mph, 1 club or 2 clubs less.  Is there a general rule? ie. every 5mph add/subtract 1 club?

Answer
Hi Reson,

A general rule you could use is for every 10 mph wind, the ball plays about 4 yards shorter into the wind and 3 yards longer with the wind. But, it does depend on your club speed and trajectory.

I provide a service on my site, www.probablegolfinstruction.com, where I'll provide your club ranges into and with the wind based on your regular club distances. Email me at [email protected] if you'd like this service. I use an accurate golf ball trajectory model that I use with my consultation services.

Best regards,
Ken
